The Oviedo Center is located very close to the University of Oviedo’s Humanities Campus, in a lively commercial/residential neighborhood about 10 minutes walk from the Old Quarter/center of the city. It is your second “home away from home” in Oviedo and a place students go between classes to relax, have a bite to eat or consult the staff on just about anything.
The Center is very versatile, and its facilities can be used for various purposes, from formal to informal. It has a conference room/small classroom, two offices, and a small lounge/reading room for students. Wireless Wi-Fi is available, and there are a small number of computers for student use and printing facilities.
Over the years, we have developed a collection of over 500 books and reference texts supporting the coursework and an up-to-date array of Spanish films that can be borrowed for individual viewing or shown during our “Spanish Film Nights”. Our library also contains an extensive collection of travel guides and leisure reading, most of which have been donated by past students.
There is also a fully equipped functional kitchen. It is often used in conjunction with the conference room for informal cooking classes or for fixing group meals, exceptional “comfort” /holiday food for students and staff
